MVLA Nova

MVLA Nova is a competitive, summer softball program.  We are a sister organization to the Mountain View-Los Altos Girls Softball league and offer interested girls an opportunity to play in a more competitive, tournament-based program following the conclusion of the recreation league season.

The mission of Mountain View NOVA is to foster, mentor and develop the growth and abilities of all program participants in a competitive, tournament level girls' fastpitch softball environment. NOVA provides a supportive learning experience through positive coaching (view coach selection criteria), constructive feedback, setting goals, giving and receiving positive support from teammates, testing personal limits, and developing a commitment to excellence through personal effort and a competitive softball environment. NOVA strives to promote teamwork and individual ability while developing positive life skills, including good sportsmanship, self-discipline, personal responsibility and respect for other players, coaches and parents.

The organizational goal is to serve and develop both younger and older players by providing positive role models, enthusiastic support and constructive mentoring as players progress from junior playing levels towards more senior levels. The environment is focused on helping young girls develop athletically and emotionally towards adulthood through a program that is competitive as well as fun and enjoyable for all participants.
